This blog starts as an assignment for News on the Net at Birkbeck College (University of London) but it is something I have been willing to do for a long time --thanks Murray and Jeff for the invaluable skills and knowledge you are passing on to us.
There are many contemporary art related sites and blogs, but --to my surprise-- very little of what is available in English language specializes in Asian contemporary Art.
I write for Artists & Illustrators magazine and, having a strong personal connection with Japan and the Far East, this topic seemed just the best choice. The beginnings are humble and amateurish, but I hope this blog will grow and flourish way beyond the assignment...
All sorts of civilized feedback is welcome.
